Escaping the snow

The bad weather had to arrive soon I suppose! The track is under an inch or 2 of snow, so my team mate Jordan and I took a trip to Manchester yesterday to get some indoor riding in and ride with our more northerly counterparts.

We hit some pretty low temperatures on the journey up there! The roads were fine though, apart from getting stuck behind a gritter on the A17, we got there without much trouble. Castle Moonbeque kindly put us up for the night, it was good to catch up with Paddy & Moonbay, watching a few BMX videos with a couple of beers before getting some sleep.

We got up early to make the rest of the journey and hit up an early private session. I was thinking about having a go at the Supercross race at one of the Manchester nationals so it was good to be able to get on on the big hill for the first time in around 4 years! It felt so fast at first, but it wasn't long before it all came back to me and I was really enjoying it again.

We grabbed a well deserved full English breakfast over the road and quickly headed back so Jordan could do his ride around cones and brake down the start hill test, before meeting up with Paddy, Moonbay, Dom and Goose for the afternoon session.

We were pretty tired already but we were making the most of it and hardly stopped til we were kicked off at 2pm!

Both Jordan and I took some footage with my helmet camera, so I made an short edit of the day. Check it out!
